Spiritual Senses (Sense of Smell)

Often the sense of smell is the first one that is activated when we do something. Before we put something into our mouths to eat, our nose has already done its job by smelling if the food/drink is fresh and not 2 years old.
When the sense of smell is damaged, often we make ourselves sick without knowing about it because our "first in line' sense has failed.
This applies to our spiritual life as well. Often we 'consume' things that we haven't picked up as bad/evil.
This is a spiritual gift that we should use to keep our spirits from being infected from false teaching. We should be able to smell out any false teachings from others and stop it in tracks from entering our thought patterns.

Smell the wonderful fragrance of God.
Don't let the smell of death come near you or enter into your spirit. It is so easy to fall into the pattern of the world.

2 Corinthians 2:14-17Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and making known through us the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are the fragrance of Christ to God among those being saved, and among those perishing. To some we are the fragrance of death leading to death, but to others the fragrance of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?  For we are not as the rest, corrupting the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.

We train our spiritual senses to discern between good and evil and by reason of use our spiritual senses can make distinction between the voice of the Father, the voice of Jesus and the voice of the Holy Spirit and the voice of angels and discern what they are speaking, showing us and where they are leading us. Our mind is like in the middle point of a integration with our physical senses on one end and the spirit man’s senses on the other end and in order for us to hear the voice of Father God or Jesus or the Holy Spirit or angels we have to train ourselves to continually switch back and forth between our spiritual senses and our natural senses.

  2. Hi there.
Thank you for your kind words. Its definitely not for profit.
When I read the Word or study and often when lying in bed, i just have questions/thoughts/topics that I think about and I tend to think out while I write, so I thought if I put this into a blog format, possibly other people may have the same "issues" and thoughts and we could share the common theme.

    Cheers
